This Saturday: Triad with BLUEM, RED BIRD + QUEEN QUAIL

Triad is a new musical concert series that is dedicated to spotlighting 3 FLINTA musicians of all music genres. This Saturday, April 20th, you will be transported through the alt-rock emotional songs of BLUEM, the r&b/disco beats of Red Bird and the dreamy pop of Queen Quail. Come enjoy this new evening in the heart of Neukölln.

BLUEM is a bilingual singer-songwriter, composer and guitarist originally from Belgian. After studying classical composition for 4 years, they are back to their songwriting roots, bringing thought-provoking texts with melodic rock chords topped off by their strong and versatile voice. BLUEM isn’t afraid to be political, singing about gender, LGBT+ rights, the climate crisis and racial injustice. They released their debut single in April 2021 and are currently working on their debut EP titled ‚WoMan’.

RED BIRD is a Lithuanian soul / r&b / disco singer / songwriter based in Berlin, highly influenced by the new UK jazz scene during her young adult years living in London. Her love for the latin rhythms, late 70s US disco grooves and 90s r’n’b culture is a blend she attempts to create in her first solo EP ‚Volcano‘, which was recorded in NYC and explores the topic of ones’ creative destiny.

QUEEN QUAIL is the dream-pop/alt-country project of Kirstin Edwards. Reverberant guitar riffs and chilling vocals fill the open spaces of her songs with a haunting beauty. Queen Quail invites her listeners to feeeeeeel and be, and mostly to let these sad gurl songs transport and soothe you.
