Manjiri Prabhu has been acknowledged as a pioneer in India among women writers of mystery fiction. Labelled ‘Desi Agatha Christie’, (Indian Agatha Christie) she has published 8 books till date, two of which have been published by Bantam/Dell, Random House, USA. She is also the founder and festival director of the Pune International Literary Festival.

 

Binoo K. John is a senior journalist with the India Today group. His earlier two books were Curry Coast: Travels in Malabar 500 Years after Vasco da Gama (Konark Publishers, 1999) and Under a Cloud: Life in Cherrapunji, the Wettest Place on Earth (Penguin, 2004). He conducts the Kovalam Literary Festival.

 

Shinie Antony has written 2 books of short fiction, 2 novels and put together 2 anthologies. Her books include Barefoot and Pregnant, When Mira Went Forth and Multiplied and Why We Don't Talk. She won the Commonwealth Short Story Asia region prize in 2003 and is director of the Bangalore Literature Festival.
