Kryptologie
An exhibition that generates a new kind of cryptology and lets us become archaeologists of the future: Even now ancient scripts such as hieroglyphs are studied, and so we will have been being looking back at our own digital history.
Our view of a world divided between analogue and digital is modified in this future laboratory by Claudia Speer: classical techniques and hand-mixed inks on rice paper are coupled with digital semantics so that they work with digital viruses and QR codes. Here a fingerprint is both a direct print and a digitalization, still unique image, which can outlive its body of origin by thousands of years. Might we find a new way to read it?
