"According to current scientific paradigm all organisms consist of the same chemical elements. This fact fascinates me and serves as the base for my artistic practice including custom-made natural ink. On top of that I hold on to biocentric ethics. I’m captivated by the circulation of matter, its transformation by means of decomposition and digestion. I mediate these processes through my visual interpretations. They can be named “gestortions”. Those gestortions are meant to portray the acts of distortion and digestion that are constantly present in the life cycle of all complex organisms."
