SIMULACRUM
Show Window Exhibition #5:
8th of February 2021 - 28th of February 2021
Monday through Friday, 10 AM - 5 PM
Emser Str. 124 on the corner of Ilsestr.
The SIMULACRUM exhibition cycle continues with images in our show windows looking out onto the street. As the WerkStadt is not yet able to do exhibitions inside the project space that are open to the public due to COVID-19, fittingly the artworks will look out into the surrounding neighborhood.

"What takes shape in art can not only stimulate social discourse, but significantly shape it.
I usually look for the situations where it seems uncomfortable at first. To negotiate the dark corners, the drafty in-between spaces, yes, the "in-between-ness" between place and non-place, that is my concern. Mostly in site-specific interventions, in performative acts,
I track down what has been "lost" in the places. I try to show the inherent potential of the place and also like to activate it in participatory moments.
To achieve as much as possible with as little as necessary - to make visible, to make it possible to experience - is the goal of my work."
*The WerkStadt as an art project space is partially funded (structural costs) in 2020-2021 by the Berlin Senate for Culture & Europe.
